Terms of Service

Disclaimer of Liability for Cerakote Services

We provide Cerakote services for various parts and applications, using standard fixturing and part preparation methods. These methods may include soaking parts in solvents such as acetone and paint thinner, hanging parts by screws, and heating parts to 250°F for several hours. These methods are necessary to ensure proper adhesion and curing of the Cerakote coating.

However, we are not liable for any damages that may occur to your parts as a result of these methods. You are responsible for doing your own research on the compatibility and durability of your parts before sending them to us for Cerakote services. You agree to waive any claims against us for any damages that may arise from our Cerakote services, and you acknowledge that you are using our services at your own risk.

By sending us your parts for Cerakote services, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not send us your parts.

Additional Terms for Powder-Coated Parts

If your part features powder coating on it, this will require chemical stripping. This can cause two things: a delay beyond our quoted lead time, as well as a small potential to only partially be able to remove the coating and it be stuck in a half-removed state unable to be further broken down. This has only been exhibited by us one time with a very hard powder coat. You agree to accept the risk of these possible outcomes when sending us your powder-coated parts for Cerakote services.

Additional Terms for Parts without Holes

Your part must have either screw holes, through holes (a hole in which a screw passes through to secure one part to another), or something else for us to hook or fixture to. Without these holes, it will cost additional funds to coat your parts, as the failure rate goes up exponentially due to the methods we must deploy to adequately coat your parts in multiple stages now. You agree to pay the extra fees for parts without holes when sending us your parts for Cerakote services.

Additional Terms for Parts in Transit

Please note that we are not liable for any part damaged in transit to or from our warehouse. Even if packaged very carefully, we have still seen damage occur due to multiple reasons. For any sort of compensation on your damaged part(s) you MUST request shipping insurance be added to your order. Furthermore, we are not responsible if your part(s) do not meet the terms of the insurance claim. We do not pick up the slack from the insurance companies failing to pay you out. You must be able to provide all relevant documents such as timestamped original purchase receipts for your damaged part(s) and you understand that SPACE CABLES LLC is in no way responsible for any damage to your parts.

Shipping insurance is a service that most carriers offer that protects shippers against lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
